New Leadership and Staff Changes

As the weather begins to warm and the flowers start to bloom, we welcome the arrival of Spring and new beginnings as we embark on PaddingtonNow BID’s fifth BID term from April 1st 2023 to March 31st 2028.

With Spring comes change and after 18 years of dedicated service to Paddington BID, Chris Peers, BID Manager will retire. His departure marks the end of an era. His contributions have been invaluable in advancing the BIDs mission and we will be celebrating him and all he has done before he leaves. He will remain in post until July 31st 2023, to oversee a smooth transition in leadership.

Also this Spring, Kay Buxton is stepping away from her direct involvement with PaddingtonNow BID. Kay started the BID and was CEO for thirteen years and then Executive Chair in which role she continued to represent the BID at a strategic level. Without Kay’s drive and determination it is likely that there would not have been a BID and we all applaud and recognise her role in what PaddingtonNow BID has achieved.

We are excited to announce the appointment of our new CEO, Victoria Dell, effective April 1st. Many of you may already know Victoria in her current role as Operations Manager for the BID since September 2019. Victoria will be responsible for driving forward the BIDs mission to enhance the area’s commercial and cultural vitality. We are confident that her expertise and leadership will enable the BID to build on past successes and continue to thrive as a dynamic and innovative business community.

‘I would like to take this opportunity both personally and on behalf of the Board of Directors to thank Chris for his years of dedication to Paddington – he has made it a better, brighter and safer place to live and work. He will be greatly missed, and we wish him all the best for his retirement.

Moving forward, I know Victoria is a fantastic replacement who already knows the BID, its partners and stakeholders very well, thanks to the sterling work she has done to date as our Operations Manager. We all look forward to continuing to drive the BID and Paddington forward during its new term.’
