Following trials in August to address antisocial behaviour in the mornings, the Community Safety Team will now trial extended evening hours, in order to determine the best possible safety coverage for the BID area.
In September, the team will be on patrol from 9am to 11pm, Tuesday to Saturday, a further extension of an hour on the August trial and an extra 4 hours of coverage compared with the current official BID hours which are 12 noon to 10pm.
Both August and September trials will be reviewed at the end of September and the BID Security sub-group made up of BID members will make a decision on what hours work best for businesses with in the BID.
