Thank you to all of you that attended the PaddingtonNow Renewal Proposal Launch Event at the Hilton Hotel, Paddington on Wednesday 20 September.
Kay Buxton, PaddingtonNow BID CEO welcomed guests and introduced Munish Datta, Head of Facilities and Plan A, Marks and Spencer’s. Munish gave an enlightening keynote speech, highlighting the great work already achieved by the BID. Vaughan Smith, Frontline Club Founder and Chairman of PaddingtonNOW spoke and stressed the importance of community and the need to work together. He emphasised the work that still needs to be done and how crucial it is that the BID continue, so that Paddington can become an even better place to live, work and visit.
Speeches were followed by a lively Q&A session where members of the Council and other key stakeholders were on hand to answer questions. Discussions continued after the launch event and businesses were given further opportunity to share their views on what makes Paddington great and what will make Paddington even better.
Prior to the Renewal Proposal Launch, the 2017 AGM was held. Vaughan Smith and Angela Kretschmer were re-elected as Chairman and Vice Chairman of the BID respectively. Board members will remain the same as last year with the addition of Ramesh Arora, Managing Director, Shaftesbury, Park Grand, Montcalm Luxury Hotel.
