Despite another tricky year for hospitality venues in London, 2023 promises to be a bumper year for Paddington, starting with four new additions to the food and drinks scene.
The Bear
A warm welcome to the newest pub in Paddington, The Bear is run by best friends Martin and Peter, owners of the Independent pub company – The Craft Beer Co.
A newly updated interior offers a modern cosy space but most importantly they serve an incredible selection of beers. 6 Real Ales, 29 craft beers on keg and an extensive range of Belgian bottled and alcohol free beers.
Burgers and bar snacks such as pork pies, scotch eggs and cheese boards are on offer if you need something to soak up the booze and there is a private hire space in the basement called ‘The Den’ that can seat approximately 25 people.

Vela Brasserie
Vela Brasserie is a British and modern European venue, inspired by Italian, Spanish and French cuisines focused on locally sourced ingredients. The accessible menu offers Argentinian rib eye steak and pan seared scallops to entice hungry visitors.
Located on Sale Place, the restaurant is easily accessible from Paddington and Edgware Road tube stations.

Vapiano
Vapiano serves handmade pasta and pizza cooked fresh to order using ingredients made on site. Located on the corner of Eastbourne Terrace and Craven Road, a stone’s throw from Paddington train station, it is the fourth restaurant from the group to hit the capital, alongside venues in Oxford Circus, Tottenham Court Road and Tower Bridge.

The Garden Terrace, Indigo Hotel
Calling all Paddington Bear lovers, The Garden Terrace is a hidden gem in the centre of Paddington. A warm cosy oasis with twinkling lights, heaters and Paddington Bear murals. It’s a fantastic spot to hire out for baby showers, kids parties and more. Sssssh it’s a secret!
