Hilton London Paddington Announces Heritage-Led Multi-Million-Pound Renovation

Hilton London Paddington has announced a major renovation of its guest rooms, ballrooms, and interiors as the iconic listed hotel marks 173 years of history.

The first phase focuses on the hotel’s historic left wing, with newly restored rooms due to open Spring 2026. The project aims to honour the property’s Victorian character and Art Deco spirit through restored architectural details, bespoke furnishings, and contemporary touches — balancing heritage with modern comfort.

Originally opened in 1854 as the Great Western Royal Hotel by HRH Prince Albert, the hotel has long served as a gateway to London. Under the Bhatia family’s stewardship since 1986, it has continued to host royal visits and charitable events while remaining connected to the city’s story.

The hotel has already completed a transformation of its event spaces, including the Great Western Suite ballrooms — two pillar-free, light-filled rooms named after iconic locomotives, licensed for civil ceremonies and available for weddings, conferences, and private events.

Situated directly above Paddington Station with a 15-minute Heathrow Express link, Hilton London Paddington remains one of the capital’s most well-connected heritage destinations.
