Social media has grown incredibly over the past few years and small businesses now understand that digital and social media marketing and a presence on at least one of the main platforms can realise huge business benefits. In October 2016 two Facebook for Business Training sessions were held to help local businesses learn how to create a social media strategy, increase leads and get more business through organic and paid advertising.
In this two part training session, businesses who took part were then able to put into practise the tips and methods that will lead to them being able to engage with new and potential customers. Businesses who attended, were impressed with how well able they were able to engage with their audience and saw enquiry and booking levels increase between sessions.
The course began with a presentation on the current social media landscape and a discussion about the benefits and challenges for businesses using social media.
Businesses were asked about the objectives for their business, so that our instructor Jen Smith could ensure that upon completion of the training businesses were able to understand :-
- How the current social media landscape applies to each business, small, medium or large
- Which strategy would best suit your goals and objectives
- How to get started using and developing a social media presence for your business
It was an introductory course aimed at people who have never or rarely used social media but want to know how to use it to benefit their business. And for those who were more aufait it served as useful refresher, providing updates on the latest developments.
