Reminder to have your say on our Air Quality Action Plan
Westminster City Council has set out an ambitious plan to tackle air pollution in our city. We’d love your input on our plans. There’s a week left to share your thoughts with us.
Parts of Westminster suffer from some of the worst air quality in Europe, so an action plan is vital for our community. The plan details how we will improve air quality in Westminster between 2020 and 2024. It commits Westminster to meeting World Health Organisation guidelines for air pollution, which go over and above targets set by UK law.
The plan includes:
Reducing emissions from buildings and development
Leading the way in electric vehicle infrastructure
Encouraging a shift away from polluting vehicles
Working with partners such as schools, businesses and universities to reduce emissions
It’s important to us that we listen to everyone in our community about this crucial issue. You can find out more and have your say on the Air Quality Action Plan by clicking the link below. Our consultation is still open, and will close on Wednesday 26 February 2020.
