Security Snapshot – March 2026

Each month we will provide an overview of the key accomplishments from our Community Safety Team, along with any additional updates.

We are pleased to bring you our March Security Snapshot. Each month, we will provide an overview of the key accomplishments of our Community Safety Team, along with any additional operational updates.

New Security Contract

PaddingtonNow is pleased to announce a new partnership with The Welcome People, who will be joining us as our security provider across the BID area.

This transition marks an exciting step forward in enhancing the safety, visibility, and overall experience within Paddington. While it remains very much business as usual, businesses and the wider community can expect to benefit from additional training and a refreshed approach that places even greater emphasis on engagement, awareness, and support.

Our Community Safety Team will continue to patrol the BID area five days a week, covering 35 streets for 14 hours each day. Their presence will continue to provide reassurance to businesses, employees, residents, and visitors alike.

As part of this new partnership, there will also be expanded opportunities for businesses to engage with the team, including enhanced training initiatives designed to support local needs and strengthen community connections.

We look forward to working closely with The Welcome People and continuing to support a safe and welcoming Paddington.

PaddingtonNow Team Highlights

James

A member of the public behaving aggressively was trying to break a window at one of our member businesses. We responded quickly, arrived on scene, and were able to de-escalate the situation before it worsened.”

Joe

“While on patrol, we identified a suspected drug den near London Mews. An individual was found unconscious, so we contacted paramedics to attend the scene. Thanks to our prompt response, the individual was safely transported to hospital.”

Nicole

We received a call from a business on Praed Street about a vulnerable individual who was wandering the street and at risk of harm. I took the initiative to contact the hospital to arrange appropriate support and ensure their safety.”

Paddington Square – Crime Prevention Event

On Tuesday 17th March 2026 we hosted a Crime Safety Event at Paddington Square, raising awareness of phone theft and bogus policing — helping businesses and visitors stay vigilant. It was a great opportunity to connect with Paddington Square employees.
