PaddingtonNow – Security Snapshot – March 2025

We are pleased to bring to you our March Security Snapshot. Each month, we will provide an overview of the key accomplishments from our Community Safety Team, along with any additional operational updates.

March Key Achievements

Joe:

“I assisted in the search for an 8-year-old child who went missing at the Westbourne Terrace Hotel. Thankfully, the child was located and safely reunited with their parents.”

Nicole:

“This month I assisted with gathering evidence surrounding the ongoing thefts taking place at McDonald’s. This evidence will play a key role in preventing future incidents.”

Mike:

This month, I had the opportunity to interact with various businesses in Paddington. I look forward to continuing my efforts to make sure that residents, visitors, and tourists feel secure and welcomed as we head into the summer.”

James:

“This month Joe and I handled a couple of ejections from premises in Paddington. Additionally, I managed a fake police incident in Norfolk Square, resolving it successfully.”

Phone Theft

Phone snatchers are actively targeting pedestrians across London, often using bikes or mopeds to strike quickly. They rely on distraction and speed to grab phones from unsuspecting victims. We have emailed a poster that members can put in their premises and in the coming weeks our team will be arranging visits to discuss simple ways to stay vigilant in Paddington and the wider area.
