We are pleased to bring to you our August Security Snapshot. Each month, we will provide an overview of the key accomplishments of our Community Safety Team, along with any additional operational updates.
Did you know our Community Safety Officers Walk an average of 175 hours each month — that’s roughly the same as walking from Paris to Athens!
Key Achievements
Joe:
“This month, I worked closely with the BID Operations Manager to obtain CCTV footage related to a fire incident in the Paddington area. The footage gathered successfully enabled the authorities to identify the offender.”
Nicole:
“This month, I conducted welfare checks on several individuals in response to the rising temperatures. Ensuring that vulnerable people have access to essential resources during extreme heat is especially important.”
Mike:
“I assisted in resolving a situation involving an individual experiencing homelessness who was causing a disturbance at a local business. I was able to help restore a calm environment and ensure that the public remained undisturbed.”
James:
“The team and I have regularly assisted a homeless individual experiencing mental health challenges. This month, when the individual appeared to be in danger, Joe and I ensured he was safely transported to the hospital. One of the most rewarding aspects of my role is being able to support and protect vulnerable members of the community.”
