PaddingtonNow BID has been greening and improving the Paddington BID area for over thirteen years. In 2016 we entered the prestigious London in Bloom Awards for the first time to see what the professionals thought of our efforts with flowers and greenery.
We were delighted to win the second highest award of Silver Gilt – and then in 2017 we went one better and achieved the Gold Award and also won Best in Category with the highest score in London.
This led to us being put forward to represent London as a finalist in the 2018 RHS Britain in Bloom Awards. This summer we will be judged in both ‘Bloom’ competitions and we want to really show them just how beautiful Paddington can look, but we need your help.
How you can help
Brighten up your business – there is still time to create or add to floral displays outside your business. Window boxes, hanging baskets and planters can have a huge visual impact. If stray bits of grass or weeds have appeared on the kerbside or cobbles then treating and clearing them now will help demonstrate your care and interest in our community.
Smarten up on Judging days – make sure that the front of your business is as tidy as possible and any plantings or displays have been weeded. It would be helpful if you would please not put out any rubbish bags for collection on these morning.
