We are delighted to let you know that the BID, in partnership with First Mile, has arranged a free WEEE collection day on Tuesday 17 November and all businesses in the BID area can take part.
WEEE stands for Waste Electric and Electronic Equipment and it is more important than ever to recycle these items correctly.
With technology constantly moving forward and many commercial and office devices quickly becoming redundant, it’s essential that they’re looked after properly in the recycling process. They’re packed with chemicals that are nasty in the wrong places, but also rare materials that are great in the right ones. First Mile will make sure the right bits go to the right places with our efficient, data-protected e-waste recycling process.
What will First Mile pick up?
Electronics, wires, cables, plugs, IT and telecommunications equipment, laptops, keyboards, computers, monitors, microwaves, televisions and more.
For a full list of items please click here.
