PaddingtonNow BID are working with Safer Sounds, the Metropolitan Police, the Mayor of London, London Councils and venues across London to help people enjoy safer nights out in public spaces.
As part of this campaign, Safer Sounds will be hosting free Welfare And Vulnerability Engagement (WAVE) training sessions aimed at anyone working in the night-time economy. Management, frontline staff and security teams are all invited to take part.
The training will help staff in pubs, bars, restaurants and those working on night shifts to learn how to identify and respond to a vulnerable person within their premises. It will highlight the importance that venues can play in helping to prevent and reduce sexual violence and abuse within the night-time economy.
Training sessions will be held online on the following dates:
- Wednesday 4th August 10:30- 11.30
- Wednesday 11th August 13:30-14:30
- Wednesday 18th August 17:30-18:30
