The BID is over the moon to have been nominated for ‘London’s Public Sector Organisational Changemaker of the Year’ Award in the Global Action Plan Sustainable Cities Awards 2022.
We have been nominated for our work on the Norfolk Square Topiary Butterfly Garden and the new Wildflower Meadow in the Sussex Gardens Triangle, due to be in bloom this summer.
The BID has highlighted how the projects offer innovative and sustainable solutions to benefit the wellbeing of the Paddington community. The projects are key in sparking social change by encouraging communities to collectively prioritise environmental projects for an enhanced area and a healthier life.
Our nomination will be considered by a panel of judges. Winners and Highly Commended organisations will be recognised at a virtual Award Ceremony on Wednesday 11 May. Find out more about the projects here:
Partnered by Mayor of London and LEDNet (London Environment Directors’ Network) the 2022 Sustainable City Awards are an opportunity to celebrate individuals and organisations creating change to help Londoners from all backgrounds live and work in ways that are good for the health of people and the planet.
