A Splash of Art: The Bubbly Statue Series arrives at Paddington Square

We’re delighted to share that a new art installation has arrived in Paddington. Find out more in the  latest episode  of The Paddington Podcast.

Commissioned by local artist Richard Neergaard, his Bubbly statue is located at the top of the escalators to the right of the new Bakerloo line entrance at Paddington Square.

His loveable “Bubbly” Character series is based on a very British humorous friend who loves Champagne. “Bubbly” is a local resident and Art Dealer who has been living on Westbourne Terrace for 50 years.

The Bubbly series consists of four characters including:

  • Guards Bubbly
  • Bobby Bubbly
  • Sherlock Bubbly
  • Gentlemen Bubbly

The first installation will be followed by an additional two in late April.  Learn the story behind the Bubbly statues in the newest episode of The Paddington Podcast. Listen here.
