PaddingtonNow – Security Snapshot – October 2025

We are pleased to bring to you our October Security Snapshot. Each month, we will provide an overview of the key accomplishments of our Community Safety Team, along with any additional operational updates.

Key Achievements

Joe:

We worked with the BID Operations Manager and Westminster City Council to successfully remove the unauthorised encampment from Norfolk Square Gardens. The camp, which had been present since late summer, was causing ongoing disturbance to residents and nearby hotels.”

Nicole:

“This month I refreshed my handcuff training with Mike. It was great to recap some of the things I previously learnt and re-equip myself with the necessary skills. I now feel more prepared to tackle potential threats whilst on patrol.”

Mike:

“While on patrol with James, I received a call from a local business requesting assistance in removing a disruptive individual from a nearby pub. Together, we effectively worked as a team to de-escalate the situation and prevent any potential threats.”

James:

“Each month, we receive multiple calls from local businesses regarding a range of issues. In the past month, I successfully dealt with a recurring problem by removing a disruptive individual who had repeatedly entered one of our café establishments.

Crime Prevention Pop-Ups

We will be holding two crime prevention events at two of our businesses this November. The events will provide an opportunity for local employees to learn more about local crime trends and safety tips on how to stay safe in and around Paddington.
